A 90s pop star has signed up for Superstar MasterChef (Credits: Fox)

Steps star Ian 'H' Watkins is about to seem on the subsequent season of Celebrity MasterChef.

It was in 1997 that he joined the dance pop-group, which also included Lee Latchford-Evans, Claire Richards, Lisa Scott-Lee and Faye Tozer.

Between 1997 and 2001 the band launched two number-one singles within the UK, two number-one albums within the UK, 14 consecutive prime 5 singles in the UK, and a string of hits throughout Europe.

Promoting over 20 million data worldwide, they have been additionally nominated for a BRIT Award in 1999.

After they officially disbanded in 2001, Ian went on to briefly type a duo, H & Claire together with his former bandmate and then took a musical theatre course at the Royal Academy of Music.

Since then he's also appeared in several TV shows, together with Movie star Huge Brother in 2007, Discount Hunt Well-known Finds, The Chase and Dancing on Ice.

He's now also set to seem on MasterChef's superstar spin-off, alongside radio presenter Edith Bowman and Radio 1Xtra's Snoochie Shy, who was additionally on I'm A Movie star in 2021.

After sharing the sign-ups, a TV source stated that the collection was 'one in every of telly's most prized gigs'.

On the final season of the collection, it wasGo Compare star Wynne Evans who beat out Love Island's Luca Bish and Emmerdale actress Amy Walsh to win the competition.

Other earlier winners have included Lisa Snowdon, Greg Rutherford, Kimberly Wyatt and Lisa Faulkner.
