Movie star chef Russell Norman's reason for dying has been confirmed after he died on November 23 at the age of 57.
The BBC star – who appeared on Saturday Kitchen – died from suicide by hanging, an inquest has heard.
Norman was rushed to hospital on November 18 after being found within the garden of his house in Kent.
His girlfriend and medical employees attempted to do CPR on him, however he died five days later surrounded by his household and buddies.
He suffered severe brain injury.
The inquest was held at Oakwood House in Maidstone on Friday (February 10).
In a press release read by Coroner Katrina Hepburn, Dr Genevieve Verdigel, an art historian, advised how she found Norman lying unconscious in the garden.
'I ran back inside to call 999. I used to be making an attempt to do CPR. I used to be screaming and the individuals subsequent door got here round,' she stated.
A pulse was detected throughout resuscitation attempts and Norman was dashed to William Harvey Hospital in nearby Ashford.

Norman's demise was originally announced with a press release.

'After a brief battle in hospital, he died surrounded by household and buddies.

Following Norman's sudden demise, social media was flooded with tributes from admirers of his work and TV co-stars.
Former Saturday Kitchen host James Martin hailed him as a 'big' of the restaurant world.
Restaurant critic Jay Rayner described the late star as 'some of the gifted of restaurateurs'.
'So sorry to hear of the demise, far too younger, of Russell Norman,' he shared.
'He was some of the gifted of restaurateurs, a terrific writer and an awful lot of fun to be round.

The beloved chef died simply weeks after his fourth cookbook was revealed.
He rose to prominence in 2012 when he gained an award for his first cookbook, Polpo: A Venetian Cookbook (of Types).
