Naga Muchetty has been praised for the best way she dealt with a Tory MP defending recent comments made by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
Yesterday, Sunak joked in the Commons that Sir Keir Starmer had modified his position on 'defining a lady'. The comment was made whereas murdered transgender teenager Brianna's mum, Esther Ghey, was in parliament.
Brianna's father, Peter Spooner, informed ITV earlier at present that Sunak should apologise as the comments have been 'degrading' and 'dehumanising', which he has refused to do.
After the public backlash to the comments, Minister for Policing, Chris Philp appeared on BBC Breakfast, where he was interviewed by Munchetty.
Addressing Rishi's 'joke' Munchetty asked Philp if he thought it was 'respectful'. Philp defended Sunak and stated that he was particularly speaking about 'Labour's coverage flip flops'.
This echoes what Sunak advised reporters right now: 'I've nothing however probably the most heartfelt sympathy for her [Brianna's] complete family and pals.

Not giving up on getting a straight sure or no answer, Munchetty asked once more if the household deserved an apology.
'I feel individuals should take heed to the clip, type their own view,' he began before Munchetty clarified that Brianna's father has watched the clip.
'He has listened to the clip. I can't imagine that the daddy of a kid who was murdered a yr in the past this Sunday has not listened to that clip, and I feel it's fairly disingenuous for you to recommend he hasn't. He's asked for an apology. Will he get one?'
'Cling on, hold on, woah, I did not for a second recommend that,' Philp stated defensively.
'However my question to you was about whether Peter Spooner would get an apology, not about individuals listening to the clip,' she instantly informed Philp.
'Okay, look, I've already stated repeatedly that the prime minister made no reference to any individual in his remarks yesterday,' was Philp's response.
Munchetty's efforts to get Philp to provide info on the probability of an apology and admit the feedback might not have been respectful have been praised.
'He virtually squirmed himself inside out. Naga is magnificent,' famous account Emma Scutt and Ava added: 'Naga is an precise present from the gods.'

Other viewers stated that Philp was 'destroyed' and 'on the ropes' because of Munchetty's interview method, and referred to as her the 'solely cause to observe telly in the morning'.
