Andrew Scott's mom, Nora Scott, has died.
The Irish actor, recognized for his roles in Fleabag and BBC Sherlock in addition to critically acclaimed new film All Of Us Strangers, has been left devastated by the sudden lack of his mum, who died after a 'sudden illness' on Thursday.
Whereas Andrew himself has not publicly commented on Nora's demise, the household shared an announcement on website RIP.ie.
They stated it was 'with our deepest sorry that we inform you of the passing of Nora Scott (nee Boyle), beloved wife of Jim, mom of Sarah, Andrew and Hannah.'
Nora, initially from Omagh in County Tyrone but who lived in Sandymount, Dublin, died on Thursday, March 7, 'peacefully surrounded by her loving household and greatest good friend Anne.'
She died at St Vincent's Hospital in Dublin, 'following a sudden sickness.'
The announcement went on to say the mum-of-three can be 'deeply missed by her beloved husband Jim, her loving youngsters Sarah, Andrew and Hannah, much liked daughter-in-law Janine, sisters Gertrude and Molly and brother Andrew, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephew, nieces, family members, neighbours and lots of pals.'
Her funeral is due to happen on Tuesday, March 12 in Dublin.
Andrew shared an in depth bond together with his mother, and through a 2019 appearance on The Graham Norton Show revealed he had been sworn to secrecy when he was forged to seem in an episode of Black Mirror, but couldn't resist telling his mum.
He stated on the time: 'The whole thing was shrouded in mystery.
'No-one tells you what's happening and you then're sworn to secrecy. You'll be able to't inform anyone, however I advised my mum.'
And in 2018, Nora herself informed a narrative about how she was stunned with a very considerate present by none aside from celebrated actor Anthony Hopkins.
Nora was unwell at the time, and Andrew – who was working with Anthony on a manufacturing of King Lear – advised him his mum was underneath the climate.
Anthony then sent three dozen pink roses to Nora as a get nicely quickly present, with Nora describing him as 'a sweetheart' in a dialog with RTE's Ryan Tubridy.
'There was in all probability greater than three dozen purple roses and hooked up to them was slightly card from Anthony saying "Be nicely, sending hugs", and all types of issues.
'I was thrilled to get such a present and for the type thought that promoted it.'
