Dr. Dre is opening up about experiencing three strokes whereas being hospitalized for a mind aneurysm two years in the past.
"It's just something which you can't control that simply occurs, and through these two weeks I had three strokes," Dre (actual identify Andre Romelle Younger), 59, revealed on SiriusXM's This Life of Mine With James Corden on Thursday, March 14.
Dre made headlines in January 2021 when he was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Middle in Los Angeles after struggling a brain aneurysm. At the time, a supply solely informed Us Weekly that the doctors were "extremely concerned" about him.
Dre informed host James Corden that on the day he was hospitalized, he awoke with a feeling behind his proper ear that developed into the "worst pain [he] ever felt."

"I received up and I went on about my day, and I assumed that I might simply lay down and take a nap," he stated. "My son had a feminine good friend that was there and was like, 'No, we need to take you to the hospital.' In order that they took me to urgent care."
After arriving at urgent care, Dre came upon his situation was "critical."
"Next factor you recognize, I'm blacking out. I'm out and in of consciousness, and I ended up in the ICU," Dre stated. "I used to be there for two weeks. I'm listening to the docs coming in and saying, 'You don't understand how lucky you're.'"
Dre stated "no one might give [him] an answer" as as to if he might've prevented his health scare from occurring.

"I had no idea that I had hypertension or something like that because I'm on my well being s–t. I'm lifting weights, I'm operating, I'm doing every part that I can to maintain myself wholesome," he stated. "I stated, 'Would which have prevented it if I had labored out slightly bit more durable or ate totally different or one thing like that?' It's like, no, it's hereditary. Hypertension in Black males, that's just what it is. They call it the silent killer. You just do not know, so you already know, it's a must to maintain your s–t checked."
When Corden, 45, asked how the experience has altered Dre's life now, he admitted he's unsure if there was a "vital change" to his day-to-day routine.
"I'm not saying, 'OK, I'm simply going to go f–king crazy as a result of who knows if the lights are gonna come out tomorrow.' I don't give it some thought like that. I just assume it was something that just occurred to me," he stated. "It undoubtedly makes you recognize being alive, that's for positive, if you go through that state of affairs."
He continued, "Now, understanding that I had no management over that, it's just one thing that would happen out of the blue, you wake up and you go, 'S–t. OK, I'm right here.'"
