A REDDIT consumer has claimed to have made a huge mistake that left their iPhone very damaged.

The owner stated the black glass was already cracked however glueing on an adjunct made it worse[/caption]

A picture of the unfortunate mistake was posted to the favored Reddit discussion board r/iPhone.

The discussion board is described as "Reddit's little corner for iPhone lovers (and some people who just mildly take pleasure in it…)."

"Do NOT stick something adhesive on your again glass," the disgruntled iPhone proprietor wrote.

They hooked up a picture of a really broken device to the publish which showed the glass on the back of the telephone had cracked.

A few of the glass is lacking and the internal contents of the telephone are seen.

The publish was upvoted more than 200 occasions, and different Reddit customers expressed their disbelief that glue might cause such injury.

"Did you rip it off fast like a Band-Help and it was too late before you realized or was it a slow-mo practice wreck and you stored going as a result of why the hell not? Genuinely curious lol," one consumer requested.

"It was already slightly cracked earlier than my try, using numerous gadgets to attempt to pry it off I knew it wouldn't come off with out shattering the back.

"Stated f*** it and handed it to my boyfriend who ripped it off taking a piece of glass with it," the initial poster replied.

"Why would you do this with no case," the preferred remark said.

It's not just adhesive that you must stay away from your iPhone.

Apple has a list of products on its website which might be greatest avoided the system.

"Clear your iPhone immediately if it is available in contact with anything which may cause stains or other injury — for example, filth or sand, ink, makeup, soap, detergent, acids or acidic meals, or lotions," it warns.
