The glamorous Southern Californian city is due to welcome the world's best athletes to town in 2028, 44 years since it last staged the summer Games. Once the closing ceremony is wrapped up in France on Sunday - with Hollywood star Tom Cruise rumored to feature and take the baton from the previous hosts - LA can finally begin its preparations for four years' time.
