Manchester United target Matthijs de Ligt is being investigated by German police 'on suspicion of a hit-and-run'. The centre back was left out of Bayern Munich's touring squad to South Korea at the end of July, as rumours have continued to gather that he could be on his way to Old Trafford this summer. Erik ten Hag has previously disclosed that United do have an interest in the defender, as they look to bolster their defensive stocks having been hampered by a string of injuries to several of their key defenders last season.
