Newcastle have held talks with Charlotte FC over the sale of Miguel Almiron but the package looks too expensive for the MLS side who also enquired after Tottenham's Giovani Lo Celso. The 30-year-old winger is considered one of the leading candidates to move from the Magpies in the summer transfer window, with only two years left on his contract. After a poor 2023-24 season while being a regular starter at St James' Park, Newcastle are set to sell the player and have already held discussions with Charlotte FC, looking to use the funds from the Paraguayan to strengthen their defensive line.
