Newcastle are expected to return with a third offer for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi this week as the deal for the England's centre-back reaches a crucial stage. Mail Sport revealed on Friday that the Magpies had seen their second offer, believed to be just under £50million, turned down by Palace - who are determined to keep Guehi at the club. Sporting director Paul Mitchell is handling negotiations for Newcastle and is set to table an improved package in the coming days in the hope of securing the club's No 1 summer target.
