World No 1 Jannik Sinner parts ways with fitness coach Umberto Ferrara and physio Giacomo Naldi after claiming their mistakes resulted in him failing two drugs tests
Jannik Sinner has parted company with fitness coach Umberto Ferrara and physio Giacomo Naldi. According to Sinner, Ferrara and Naldi accidentally caused the World No 1 to fail two drugs tests earlier this year. Sinner first tested positive for banned anabolic steroid clostebol during Indian Wells on March 10, then again eight days later. The Italian was provisionally suspended, but on both occasions he successfully appealed and was allowed to continue playing while the tribunal assessed the evidence.
