There is a British champion at the US Open as Mika Stojsavljevic won the girls singles title. The 15-year-old is the youngest winner since 2006, beating No 7 seed Wakana Sonobe of Japan, and the first British winner of this event since Heather Watson in 2009. 'I'm super happy and super grateful,' said Stojsavljevic. Standing at 6ft tall, with size 10 shoes, Stojsavljevic grew up idolising Maria Sharapova and there are certainly shades of the Russian in her game, with a big serve and effortless power.
