Rap icon Jay-Z 'could help fund Everton takeover' despite previously declaring himself as an Arsenal fan
American rap icon Jay-Z has reportedly been contacted by John Textor regarding his proposed takeover of Premier League strugglers Everton. Textor is in talks to buy Farhad Moshiri's 94.1 per cent majority stake in the Goodison Park club. Fifty-eight-year-old Textor went on record last week to say that he was close to selling his shares in current club Crystal Palace, which he would need to do before buying the Toffees.
