Jack Leach has revealed how a phone call from Ben Stokes helped reignite his love of cricket after knee surgery and the loss of his Test place to Shoaib Bashir left him wondering: 'Why am I here?'. Bashir, his fellow Somerset spinner, had just bowled England to victory over West Indies at Trent Bridge in July when Stokes rang Leach to 'tell me how great I was and to recognise how I've dealt with the situation'.
