Kelly Cates was asked about the likelihood of Roy Keane going for the vacant Manchester United role in the latest iteration of the Mail's podcast Soccer A-Z. Erik ten Hag was handed his marching orders on Monday in the wake of a torrid start to the season which has left United languishing 14th in the Premier League table. A 2-1 defeat by West Ham on Sunday afternoon proved the final nail in the coffin for the former manager, who was given a vote of confidence by the Man United hierarchy ahead of the start of the season.
