English golfer Matt Fitzpatrick has claimed it was a 'disgrace' that PGA Tour stars were invited to compete at the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth. Fitzpatrick, speaking ahead of the defence of his Alfred Dunhill Links Championship title in Scotland, took aim at the partnership agreed by the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour - formerly the European Tour - back in 2020. The 2022 US Open champion suggested the agreement has negatively impacted European Tour players, despite initially being aimed at helping to 'connect the ecosystem of men's professional golf'.
