A beloved North Kingstown football coach has died in an apparent fishing incident in Narragansett. Joe Gilmartin died after falling overboard, according to WJAR, with his boat 'spinning out of control'. The North Kingstown School Department said in a statement on social media: 'Our community has lost a piece of NK. 'We will all remember Mr. Gilmartin as a dedicated educator and coach. Rest in Peace, Joe!' Dave Giorgi, head coach of North Kingstown football, said: 'He was a lobsterman for many years he's been on that boat thousands and thousands of times that's kind of where his get away was where he could be stress free and enjoy the moment out at the sea.
