BBC launches new reality show to find next TikTok football star in bid to win over Gen Z audience - as Gary Lineker says it was 'the right time' to leave Match of the Day
The BBC has launched a new reality show on TikTok to find the next football social media star just days after it was revealed Gary Lineker would be leaving Match Of The Day. The winner of the BBC show will be offered a job making content for shows such as Football Focus. Lineker will step down as host of the football highlights programme at the end of the season but will continue to present coverage of the FA Cup in 2025/26 and the World Cup in 2026, the BBC previously confirmed.
