Frank Lampard remains a contender to become Coventry's next boss with the club hopeful of making an appointment by the weekend. The former Chelsea and England midfielder is firmly in the thoughts of owner Doug King though is not the sole candidate, with at least one other boss interviewed at the start of this week. King was determined to take his time over the appointment after sacking Mark Robins on November 7.
