Gary Lineker has broken his silence over his Match of The day exit as the BBC launched a new reality show on TikTok to find the next football social media star. The winner of the BBC show will be offered a job making content for shows such as Football Focus in a bid to win over a younger Gen Z audience. Lineker will step down as host of the football highlights programme at the end of the season but will continue to present coverage of the FA Cup in 2025/26 and the World Cup in 2026, the BBC previously confirmed.
