Rangers have confirmed the appointment of their new chief executive officer, formerly of Manchester United. The position had been vacant for almost six months following the departure of James Bisgrove at the end of May. Bisgrove left Ibrox in order to take up a new role in the Middle East. Rangers, however, have moved to make a high-profile appointment, with Bisgrove's successor having previously worked at Old Trafford. The new appointment will start work on December 16.
