Pittsburgh Steelers star Alex Highsmith suffered a gruesome ankle injury in the final stages of their win over the Washington Commanders on Sunday. Highsmith was chasing down Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels deep in the fourth quarter when his ankle got trapped and bent at an awkward angle. His teammates immediately looked upset as he remained on the ground in need of medical assistance. Reports from the stadium said that Highsmith came through the Steelers locker room on crutches but the severity of his injury is unknown.
