They weren't joking when they said of Jim Farmer, a much-loved giant of Scottish golf, that his expertise and influence extended way beyond his hometown of St Andrews. Since the hugely popular former player, coach, businessman and administrator passed away last week, a flood of tributes has recognised his lasting impact on the game and the people who play it. From 1999 Open champion Paul Lawrie to comedian and golf-lover Andy Cameron, it has been quite a show of appreciation - and one that has now crossed over into the movie business.
