Carlos Corberan's West Brom exit confirmed as European giants pay £2.8m release clause in hope of avoiding shock relegation
Fans of West Bromwich Albion have had their festive period dampened by news of Carlos Corberan's mid-season departure. The highly rated manager is returning to his homeland to take up the reins at struggling Valencia after a two-year spell at The Hawthorns. Valencia offered to pay Albion the £2.8million required to release the 41-year-old manager from his contract. West Brom, who are seventh in the Championship, announced his exit on Christmas Eve.
