Sir Jim Ratcliffe has injected a further £79million into Manchester United, increased his stake in the club and changed ownership of his involvement to his Ineos company. The petrochemicals billionaire paid around £1.2bn for 27.7 per cent of the club earlier this year and agreed to invest $300m (£237m) as part of the deal. A filing listed on the US Securities and Exchange Commission has confirmed the final payment of $100m (£79m) and a raise in shareholding to 28.
