The popular actor, 54, suffered at least six stab wounds, including one near his spine, during what his team described as an attempted robbery in the Bandra area of Mumbai early Thursday, January 16, per the ANI news agency. Dr. Nitin Dange of the Lilavati Hospital, where Khan is being treated, told reporters that the actor sustained a major injury to the thoracic spinal cord due to a lodged knife in the spine, reported the BBC.
