Both Conor Benn and Chris Eubank Jr are ready to go head-to-head with negotiations still taking place and an announcement expected soon. In October 2022, the pair of British fighters were due to battle it out in a fight that would rekindle the rivalry between their families from the nineties. But after Mail Sport revealed that Benn tested positive for a banned substance, the fight was cancelled. In November last year, Benn had his doping suspension lifted with the National Anti-Doping Panel ruling in the boxer's favour, saying they were 'not comfortably satisfied' that UK Anti-Doping had proved Benn committed a violation of the rules.
