Ivan Juric has won his first game as Southampton manager, against Russell Martin's old club to earn the Saints a Fourth Round tie at home to Burnley. A crowd of just 12,000 was at St Mary's to see the Premier League's bottom club overcome Luke Williams' side, thanks to a brilliant performance from Kamaldeen Sulemana. The Ghanaian scored the opening goal, his first since May 2023, and laid on the second for Tyler Dibling, who scored again in the second half.
