India captain Rohit Sharma has reportedly ruled himself out of the final Test of the Border-Gavaskar Series. According to The Indian Express, Sharma, who has underwhelmed during the series, is to be 'rested' for the final match, with Jasprit Bumrah being backed to step up in his place to lead the side. Sharma is surprisingly understood to have 'opted out' of playing in the series decider, with India coach Gautam Gambhir having accepted his decision alongside chief selector Ajit Agarkar.
