Sporting Lisbon winger Marcus Edwards is closing in on a loan move to Burnley. Edwards has scored 24 goals in 120 appearances since his move to Portugal from Tottenham's academy in 2019. However, he has struggled for playing time this season with just six appearances in the league so far. Burnley have stepped up their interest and are expected to sign Edwards before Monday's 11pm deadline. The Clarets will pay an £800,000 loan fee, with an obligation to buy for £10million and a sell on clause also set to be included in the deal.
