North Melbourne club champion Ben Cunnington was admitted to hospital and underwent multiple surgeries following a recent health scare, according to reports. AFL reporter Mitch Cleary revealed to 7News on Thursday that following an 'extended stay in hospital' the 33-year-old had since returned to his farm in Warrnambool where he is recovering with his family. Cunnington had fought through testicular cancer twice to make his return to the footy pitch back in 2022, following a 385-day hiatus from the sport.
