Iconic American rockers alter lyrics to popular song to blast Trump during headlining Coachella performance
Green Day altered the lyrics to their hit track American Idiot to diss Donald Trump while headlining day two of the 2025 Coachella Music Festival on Saturday. The rock band - which consists of frontman Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt and drummer Tré Cool - closed out the second night of the annual festivities and performed a number of songs such as 21 Guns. At one point while on the main Coachella Stage, Armstrong began belting out lyrics to American Idiot but changed 'I'm not a part of a redneck agenda' to 'I'm not part of the MAGA agenda.
