Milla Jovovich and her husband, Paul W.S. Anderson, are celebrating 16 years of marriage with a series of beachy photos and a heartfelt Instagram post
The actress penned a heartfelt post on Aug. 22 to celebrate her wedding anniversary with Anderson, whom she wed in 2009
"You are my inspiration to be better, my sounding board for every crazy idea, my creative partner who always helps me improve and be the best version of myself," Jovovich wrote of the Resident Evil director

On Friday, Aug. 22, Jovovich, 49, shared photos to Instagram of the couple posing on the beach in celebration of their anniversary and penned a lengthy, heartfelt tribute to the Resident Evil director, 60.
"Happy 16th Anniversary to me and my incredible husband Paul! I'm so lucky to have you. You are the greatest person in my life," the actress and model wrote, alongside photos of herself and Anderson embracing and smiling with the ocean behind them. "Your support, your endless love, the conversations, the laughter, the planning, the constant attention to me and our amazing children, the happiness it brings is indescribable."
"You are my inspiration to be better, my sounding board for every crazy idea, my creative partner who always helps me improve and be the best version of myself," Jovovich continued. "You've taught me so much about life, love and the capacity for patience and understanding of myself, my work and the world around me."

One video in the post also showed Jovovich and Anderson sharing a kiss, before one of their daughters' heads pops into frame and they each give her a kiss on the cheek.
"You are ALWAYS here for me and our family," the star wrote. "You are the rock we can be grounded on when we're lost and the gentle sea that pushes and guides us towards beautiful shores."

In a separate Instagram Stories post, Jovovich also reshared one of the same photos and wrote: "Happy 16th anniversary to us!! I love you so much husband!!"

The couple, who first met while working on the first Resident Evil film, and have been together since 2002 and later wed in 2009 at their Beverly Hills, Calif. home. They have since welcomed three daughters together: Ever, Dashiel and Osian.
Jovovich has been candid about her love and support for her husband on social media. In March, she wished her husband a happy 60th birthday with another heartfelt Instagram post, writing, "to say how lucky I am to be your wife, to have our children together, to build the life we've created together is an understatement."
"You have been there through it all with me," she wrote at the time. "... You are the most loyal partner and the fun we have traveling through this life together feels never ending. I love you so much husband."
