Cybill Shepherd shared rare insight into her brief romance with Elvins Presley, revealing what he was really like behind closed doors.
During her event titled "An Evening with Cybill Shepherd: Music, Conversation & Stories" on Friday, October 17, Shepherd, 75, discussed Presley in the introduction of her song "Graceland (Revisited)." She shared that her impression of Presley was that he was a "great guy," though added that he seemed like he was "just a little bit too close to God or somebody."
"[He inspired] this next song I wrote with Tom Adams, my former musical director," she shared as she started to sing the song, according to People.
Once the song ended, she told the crowd, "Elvis was really cool though."
Shepherd and Presley briefly dated in the 1970s. Back in September 2024, Shepherd shared personal information about the intimacy in their relationship. When asked to share something unknown about the musical legend, she told Palm Springs Life that "he'd never gone down on a woman before."

"And I remember when I saw him in Las Vegas, he came up to me and held out his hand, and there were a bunch of pills in his hand. I said, 'What are those for? Are those yours?' He said, 'I've already taken mine. These are for you,'" she recalled. "I said, 'Well, I don't need them. Thank you very much."'
Shepherd said she "left very shortly after that and didn't stay the night."
"I left a piece of jewelry on the side of the bed, and I kind of regret leaving it, but I needed to get out of there. It got back to Peter [Bogdanovich], and he forgave me because it was Elvis," Shepherd continued, referencing her former partner. "I was attracted to him, and his legend was part of him. You can't separate the two, except for the drugs he gave me."
Presley died in August 1977 at the age of 42. His romance with Shepherd took place following his split from ex-wife Priscilla Presley, whom he was married to from 1967 until 1973.
