Ethan Hawke Reveals Which of His Eating Habits That Gwyneth Paltrow Considers a ‘Sickness'

Ethan Hawkeis confessing his love for a certain fast food chain.

In a video forVanity Fair,published on Wednesday, Dec. 17, the actor looked back on his first meeting withGwyneth Paltrow, nearly three decades after the pair shared screen time in 1998'sGreat Expectations.

"Do you still eat Taco Bell?" Paltrow, 53, wanted to know.

"All right, that's really funny. My idea, when Gwyneth and I met, of a special night," Hawke, 55, began his answer as Paltrow laughed.

"I got a part in a Broadway play — we're going to Taco Bell!" he said. "I remember when I finishedThe Hottest State,my first novel, Gwyn's like, 'Well, what'd you do when you finished?' I was like, 'Went to Taco Bell.' "

"It's a sickness," Paltrow observed.

"I think it's remarkable how we haven't changed," Hawke noted, adding, "I'm proud of that."

The two actors, whoreunitedto chat about their current projects — Paltrow'sMarty Supremeand Hawke'sBlue Moon— reflected on how they've both stayed true to their roots.

"We were two extremely idealistic young people who had a great vision for what we wanted to do and how we wanted to contribute," Hawke said. "And you were never ordinary. You've always been you."

"I think we are fundamentally very much the same people," Paltrow replied. "I think, you know, we have had these lives that have taken all kinds of twists and turns, but I think we've both remained true to ourselves and who we are."

TheBefore Sunrisestar isn't the only famous fan of Taco Bell.

In September,Dolly Partonopened up about beinga superfanof the restaurant and dished on her appreciation for its soft-shell taco during an interview withBusiness Insider.

"I like the others, but they fall apart so bad, especially if you're riding around," the "Jolene" singer told the outlet. "So I always get a Taco Supreme, with the sour cream and all that, in the soft shell. I love that."

Taco Bell announced the return of another menu item this week.The Quesarito,a previously discontinued combination of a burrito and a quesadilla, made its comeback on Thursday, Dec. 18.

The Quesarito takes a burrito, filled with ground beef, rice, chipotle sauce and sour cream, and wraps it in a cheese quesadilla.
