Katy Perry's recent date night withJustin Trudeauin Tokyo appeared to be drastically different from a similar one spent with exOrlando Blooma year earlier.
The singer, 41,posted a carousel of photos and videosfrom time spent in Japan for herLifetimes Touron Saturday, Dec. 6. Among them was a video of Perry and Trudeau, 53 — marking theirInstagram debut as a couple— at a sushi restaurant.
Perry can be seen trying uni, a local delicacy, in the clip, while Trudeau watches on with a smile. "Tokyo times on tour and more ( ◠‿◠ ) 🎄🍣🐡🥞💐☃️♥️," Perry captioned the post.

The143artist shared a clip from what appeared to be the same restaurant in an Instagram video last year.
In thatvideo, which Perry shared on New Year's Eve, she and Bloom, 48, drank sake glasses in silence.
The caption accompanying that post read, "Sending love to all in this next year… the new year is always an opportunity for transformation… as a 5x ♏️ transformation is my middle name… ✨.""We put the OK in tOKyo for NY 🎊🎍," Perry added.
PEOPLE reached out to representatives for both Perry and Bloom for comment on Sunday, Dec. 7, but did not receive an immediate response.

Perry and Trudeau first sparked romance rumors over the summer, when they were spotted on a datein Montreal, Canada.
At the time of their first public outing, the"Bandaids"musician had recentlysplit from her ex-fiancéin June.

Trudeau, meanwhile, hadseparated from his wife, Sophie Grégoire, after 18 years of marriage in 2023.
Perry and Bloom were together for nine years and share daughterDaisy Dove, 5.
A source previously told PEOPLE that Trudeau had "been pursuing"the Grammy nominee since their dates in Montreal.
"He even flew to California to see her during a tour break," the insider said. "They have an easy connection. She finds him attractive. He's been very respectful."

Perry and Trudeaumade their first public appearance as a coupleon Oct. 25. They attended a cabaret show at the Crazy Horse Paris to mark themom of one's birthday, according toTMZ.
