ForMickey Rourke, there's no price tag on doing the right thing.

The Oscar-nominated actor, who claims he was the victim of afraudulent GoFundMe fundraiserearlier this month, gave an update on the money fans raised in anInstagram postThursday, Jan. 15.

A GoFundMe page created on Jan. 4 sought to raise $100,000 for "The Wrestler" star, 73, to help Rourke avoid the "threat of eviction from his home." A complaint filed in California in December accused the actor of owing $59,100 in unpaid rent at his Los Angeles residence. He was told to pay the rent he owes or move out within three days, the filing stated.

The online fundraiser, which wasreportedly organizedby Rourke's friend and manager Liya-Joelle Jones, claimed it had been created with "Mickey's full permission to help cover immediate housing-related expenses and prevent" his eviction.

"I am sooo upset and embarrassed about the scam to raise money for me!! Which was, as I've stated, a cruel embarrassment," Rourke reflected on Instagram.

One day after the GoFundMe page was launched, Rourke denied the fundraiser's authenticity in an Instagram video and discouraged fans from donating.

"My life is very simple. I don't go to outside sources like that. It is embarrassing," Rourke said at the time. "There's only one person I can think of that would do such a thing, and I hope that it's not the person I'm thinking about."

In his Thursday Instagram post, Rourke said over $100,000 was raised by "concerned strangers and others." The "Iron Man 2" star added that his attorney was "doing everything in his power" to reimburse fans for their donations, though he didn't provide details on the repayment process.

"Truthfully, there is still over $90,000 that still needs to be refunded to concerned parties that sent their money," Rourke wrote. "Please people, get your money. The person who pulled this crap shouldn't get one … dollar."

In aseparate Instagram post, Rourke thanked some of his famous friends, martial artist Bill "Superfoot" Wallace and UFC CEODana White, for reaching out and offering support. The actor also vowed revenge against the person who organized the GoFundMe page.

"There will be severe repercussions to [the] individual who did this very bad thing to me," Rourke wrote. "And anyone who knows me knows payback will be goddamn severe!!!!!!"
