Amanda Seyfriedis anxiously awaiting confirmation that she will star inMamma Mia 3.

The actress, 40, shared a rare update on the production of the movie during an appearance onThe Graham Norton Showon Friday, Feb. 6. Seyfried played Sophie in 2008'sMamma Mia!and 2018'sMamma Mia! Here We Go Again, withMeryl Streepstarring as her mom, Donna.

Seyfried revealed to hostGraham Nortonthat if themovie franchisecontinues, she's unsure if the plotline will include her character.

"If I don't get it, I will be p---ed. I really want to be in it, but I don't know much else about it," said Seyfried.

The uncertainty about her role comes after Seyfried recently shared what she envisions Sophie's life would be like ifMamma Mia 3ever got made.

"Oh, with kids. I mean, I love being a mother," said Seyfried of the character and herself in an exclusive interview withPEOPLEat the Los Angeles premiere ofThe Testament of Ann Leeon Dec. 14.

I" love playing a mother, and I would love to dive into the curiosities of motherhood and raising children on a Greek island — just like Donna did with Sophie," Seyfried continued,

While unsure about the potential plot forMamma Mia 3, Seyfried said she believes the film would have "a lot of singing and dancing."

"I'm going to keep campaigning for that movie until I'm blue in the face," she added.

Producer Judy Craymer revealed toDeadlinein May 2025 that a script forMamma Mia 3— which would serve as a follow-up to 2018'sMamma Mia! Here We Go Again— has been completed.

While waiting for production of the flick to begin, Seyfried has been busy working on historical dramaThe Testament of Ann Lee.

"It is an interpretation of late 18th century drawings and paintings of the Shaker movement," she told Norton, 62, elsewhere on the chat show. "Ann was brave and it was empowering to play an empowered woman."

"It is an incredible experience I think as a movie goer and it's not the kind of movie you will ever see again," she continued.

When asked about her Manchester accent for the role, she added, "Boy, it was tough."
