Brett Favre is opening up about his remaining conversation with Toby Keith before the country singer's demise.

Favre, 54, recalled worrying about his pal's health once they final spoke, telling TMZ Sports on Wednesday, February 7, "I feel in the long run, he was simply drained. He did say that to me once we had our conversation. He stated, 'Brett, whatever happens, I'm OK with it.'"

The former quarterback stated he kept in touch with Keith every "three-or-so" months while the musician was battling abdomen most cancers. Favre noted that Keith complained concerning the results of chemotherapy remedy simply two weeks before his dying at age 62.

Keith revealed in June 2022 that he was taking a step back from his music tour because of his health.

"Last fall I was recognized with stomach cancer. I've spent the final 6 months receiving chemo, radiation and surgical procedure. To date, so good," he wrote by way of Instagram on the time. "I want time to breathe, recuperate and chill out. I am wanting forward to spending this time with my family."

The "Pink Solo Cup" singer, who shared three youngsters with spouse Tricia Lucus, later offered an update on his treatment.

"I'm feeling fairly good. Principally, all the things is in an actual constructive development. You never know with most cancers, so you must put together," he advised The Oklahoman in June 2023 about his plans to tour again. "I've obtained more wind. And I'm eager about bringing the band in and establishing, enjoying two or three days someplace simply to see if I can get by means of two hours."

Keith added: "All I gotta do is see if I can get via two or three nights of work and get somewhat break in this chemo, and we'll go back to work. I'm prepared. That's dwelling. … I'm about one other eight weeks from my final scan. So I anticipate next time I search for that tumor to be even less — and I've solely received one which's shown up."
