Posting a selfie to Instagram, the Bafta-winning actress appeared unrecognisable as she boasted a nice shade of mahogany as the tan developed.
Over the photograph, by which she looks noticeably traumatised, she wrote: 'Does pretend tan expire?! How the f**okay do I get this off?!.'
In the caption, she added: 'Please help. The pretend tan I used is 20 years previous? No pretend tan remover is working and lemon juice is just not working. Tried nail varnish remover and that simply burns.'

A 3rd update came and, plot twist, she has now started turning a way more unnatural colour because of an ill-fated removing method.

'Crushed up a dishwasher pill into a paste and scrubbed brow now its going green. Is that from dishwasher tab or tan creating????' she wrote.
Fans have been fast to offer pearls of knowledge in Daisy's time of want, with @cl.over845 commenting: 'Have you ever thought-about going the other method and making an attempt to turn out to be a bodybuilder?'
@lalaletmeexplain added: 'Ronseal wooden varnish the remainder of your body and your face will look pale as compared.'
