Until you've been busy fascinated with the Roman empire, there's a great probability you realize the conspiracy concept surrounding actress Lea Michele.

For the uninitiated, rumors have swirled for the higher part of a decade that the previous Glee star can't read. To be very clear, there's no exhausting evidence to help this, but that's by no means stopped the web before.

Because the concept simply gained't go away, Michele's fellow Glee alum Jacob Artist determined to have some fun with it. On Thursday, February 22, he posted a TikTok captioned, "When you consider the Lea Michele can't learn conspiracy theories more than the Roman Empire."

The Roman empire quip refers back to the viral sensation that swept TikTok final yr during which ladies asked their boyfriends or husbands how typically they consider the Roman empire. Many women have been left surprised by just how typically historic Rome crosses some men's minds.

Since then, any number of subjects have been characterised as "my Roman empire" to show that a person thinks about it greater than others might imagine.

It does not appear that Artist truly believes the conspiracy concept — his considering appears to return more from wondering exactly how the rumor took off within the first place. One TikTok consumer commented on his video, "Woman wouldnt you already know????" Artist replied only, "Yes."

The "Lea Michele can't learn" conspiracy originated from a narrative in her late costar Naya Rivera's memoir that stated Michele refused to improvise on the Glee set. That led to the podcast "One Extra Factor" stretching it into a principle that Michele by no means discovered to learn as a toddler and as an alternative simply memorized all of her strains. The idea took off from there.

Michele has responded to the accusation prior to now, telling The New York Times in 2022, "I went to Glee each single day; I knew my strains each single day, after which there's a rumor on-line that I can't learn or write? It's unhappy. It truly is. I feel typically if I have been a person, loads of this wouldn't be the case."

She's also joked about it, one time posting a video to TikTok during which she referred to as her good friend Jonathan Groff to ask him to read her feedback to her.

Michele's pal Emma Roberts didn't exactly help matters. During a 2023 appearance on Watch What Happens Reside With Andy Cohen, Cohen steered that the most important false impression about Michele can be that she couldn't read. Roberts jokingly replied, "We've not been in a ebook membership together!"

Even in jest, though, it seems all of Michele's associates have her back.
