Wendy Williams' guardian has filed a lawsuit towards A&E Television Networks prematurely of its The place Is Wendy Williams? documentary.

A person named Sabrina Morrissey claimed in courtroom paperwork obtained by Us Weekly on Thursday, February 22, that she is appearing in her capability as short-term guardian of W.W.H. (presumed to be Williams, whose authorized identify is Wendy Williams Hunter) by filing her movement.

Based on TMZ, Morrissey filed the lawsuit underneath seal and requested a short lived restraining order. A listening to is scheduled for next week.

Neither A&E Tv Networks, the dad or mum company of Lifetime, nor Williams, 59, have further addressed the lawsuit. Us Weekly has reached out for comment. A rep for A&E advised Us on Friday, February 23, that Lifetime "appeared in courtroom at present" and the documentary will "air this weekend as deliberate."

"I have no money and I'm gonna inform you something. If this will occur to me, it may well occur to you," Williams stated in the doc trailer, breaking down in tears. "How dare he? I control me! I miss my family. Please be right here. … We all make decisions in life, we all go through our challenges."

Williams' private struggles initially made headlines in February 2022 when it was revealed that she was taking a hiatus from season 13 of The Wendy Williams Present. That same month, her financial institution Wells Fargo referred to as her an "incapacitated individual" and requested a hearing to determine whether Williams may need guardianship to handle her finances.

Stars at Court

Williams' lawyer, nevertheless, filed an emergency petition and claimed Wells Fargo denied her access to her belongings.

"Wendy needs the world to know that she strenuously denies all allegations about her psychological well being and well-being," her lawyer LaShawn Thomas stated in a press release at the time. "Wendy needs you to know she is ok; she is of sound mind. … Wendy is grateful for the love and the outpouring of help she has acquired from her followers and she will't wait to get again."

The Wendy Williams Present wrapped for good in June 2022. Three months later, Williams entered an in-patient treatment program for "general well being issues."

Williams is presently receiving remedy for frontotemporal dementia and aphasia, which she was recognized with in late 2023 after reminiscence challenges. Her analysis was confirmed by her rep on Thursday.
