Erik ten Hag has hailed Marcus Rashford for being 'engaged, ambitious and motivated' to put last season's poor form behind him, backing him to turn the page with today's Community Shield at Wembley. Rashford scored 30 goals in Ten Hag's first season at the club and was rewarded with a new £300,000-a-week contract. But the 26-year-old struggled for much of last season, on and off the pitch, so much so that he was overlooked by England for Euro 2024.
