The first two cast members of season 4 of The White Lotus have officially been announced
The actors confirmed the news on their respective Instagram pages
No plot details have been revealed
Alexander LudwigandAJ Michalkaare dusting off their passports and heading toThe White Lotus.
TheEarth Abidesactor, 33, andThe Goldbergsactress, 34, are the first two cast members set to join the highly anticipated season four of the HBO Max drama.
Although no plot details have been revealed, the new seasonwill reportedly take place in Franceand follow "a new group of White Lotus hotel guests and employees over the span of a week," according to an official description obtained byVariety.

Michalka confirmed the news of her casting by sharingDeadline's article about the news onInstagramnext to a caption that read, "Checking in! 🛎️ Let's party Mike 🪷." The show is created, written, and directed byMike White.
Ludwig did the same by sharing a screenshot of the news article on hisInstagram pageand captioning it, "Beyond honored."
"Huge thank you to Mike for your trust in me and can't wait to bring this unbelievable material to life. ❤️❤️❤️🙌🙌," the caption continued.
In a previousepisode ofUnpacking the Episodeon HBO Max, White teased, "For the fourth season, I want to get a little bit out of the 'crashing waves against rocks' vernacular. But there's always room for more murders at the White Lotus hotels."
WhileThe White Lotushas been renewed for another season, filming has not yet begun, andthere is no word yet on when the new season will premiere.
Executive producer David Bernad previously teased what fans can expect for the theme of the new season, tellingThe Hollywood Reporterin August that it "is going to be relevant."

"I don't want to say too much [other than] I know what it is and where it's going, and it's really exciting and I think people will be happy about the direction of season four," he said.
