Kate Middelton brought a dose of sunshine to Windsor Castle for a glittering royal evening. The Princess of Wales joined Prince William for the State Banquet celebrating the state visit of Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman. For the formal occasion, Middleton turned to Elie Saab for an elegant look with an unexpectedly daring detail.

Kate Middleton stepped out in a butter yellow chiffon gown from Elie Saab’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection. The flowing design featured a floor-sweeping pleated skirt, a cinched waist, and sheer cape-like sleeves that cascaded dramatically from her shoulders.
However, the bodice provided the standout detail. Middleton’s plunging cutout gown featured a narrow opening running down the center of the chest, adding a skin-baring element to the otherwise regal silhouette. A braided trim framed the neckline, while the delicate chiffon fabric gave the entire gown an airy finish.
The Princess of Wales elevated the look with plenty of sparkle. She wore Queen Mary’s Lover’s Knot Tiara with the Greville Diamond Chandelier Earrings and her Diamond Choker Bracelet. Her Royal Victorian Order sash crossed the gown, while a Bentley & Skinner diamond brooch secured it near her shoulder.
She also carried a glittering Anya Hindmarch box clutch and paired the gown with silver crystal-embellished Gianvito Rossi pumps. Her brunette hair was styled in loose waves, allowing the tiara and statement earrings to remain firmly on display.
The appearance came as she and Prince William joined the royal gathering at Windsor Castle. The Prince of Wales complemented her formal look in traditional evening attire and royal regalia. Photos and video from the evening showed Middleton moving through the grand surroundings in the sweeping yellow creation, with its chiffon layers trailing behind her. As such, the Elie Saab gown delivered a striking balance of royal tradition and modern glamour.
