The UFC returns with two major championship fights, as featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski defends his title against undefeated contender Movsar Evloev in the main event, and bantamweight champion Petr Yan collides with Merab Dvalishvili in a much-anticipated trilogy bout for the co-headliner.
Volkanovski (28-4) enters Saturday looking to continue his second reign atop the UFC's featherweight division. The 38-year-old Australian reclaimed the vacant title with a unanimous decision over Diego Lopes in April 2025, then successfully defended it in a rematch against Lopes this past February. Volkanovski made five successful defenses during his first reign as champion, which stretched from 2019-2024.
Evloev (20-0) gets his first UFC title opportunity after winning all 10 of his fights inside the Octagon . The 32-year-old Russian has built his undefeated record around relentless wrestling and a suffocating grappling attack, picking up notable victories over Lerone Murphy, Aljamain Sterling, Arnold Allen and Lopes.
Reigning bantamweight champion Petr Yan (20-5) and former titleholder Merab Dvalishvili (21-5) meet in the co-main event after the rivals split their first two meetings.
Saturday's UFC 333 fight card begins at a special start time of 10 a.m. ET on Paramount+, with main-card action kicking off at 2 p.m. ET.

UFC 333's co-main event brings a bitter bantamweight rivalry full circle. Merab Dvalishvili dominated Petr Yan in their first meeting in March 2023, overwhelming the Russian with a relentless wrestling attack to win a lopsided decision. That victory helped launch Dvalishvili toward the 135-pound throne, where he eventually put together one of the greatest runs in divisional history. By December 2025, the Georgian had won 14 straight fights and was chasing a record fourth UFC title defense in a calendar year.
But Yan had other plans. After rebuilding his career following a brutal stretch of four losses in five fights, he stunned Dvalishvili at UFC 323 , neutralizing Dvalishvili's wrestling and reclaiming the bantamweight strap in a shocking performance that catapulted him to win Uncrowned's Fighter of the Year award . Just like that, Dvalishvili's historic streak was over, Yan was a two-time champion, and their rivalry was tied at one win apiece.
Now, 10 months later, Dvalishvili gets his chance at revenge — and Yan gets his chance to prove December was no fluke .
ABU DHABI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES - OCTOBER 23: (L-R) Opponents Petr Yan of Russia and Merab Dvalishvili of Georgia face off during the UFC 333 ceremonial weigh-in at Etihad Arena on October 23, 2026 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. (Photo by Jeff Bottari/Zuffa LLC) (Jeff Bottari via Getty Images) How did we get here, part 1: Volkanovski vs. Evloev The man headlining today's UFC 333 festivities needs no introduction. Alexander Volkanovski, a two-time featherweight champ and the division's current king, is widely considered one of the greatest 145-pounders to ever live. He has accomplished virtually all there is to accomplish at featherweight, and at age 38, his time at the top is likely nearing an end. Yet even in this late-career window, he remains among the elite of the elite — as evidenced by his No. 3 pound-for-pound ranking coming into today's bout.
Movsar Evloev, meanwhile, has taken the long road to this moment . The undefeated Russian has been nothing short of dominant in his 10 UFC appearances, winning them all and systematically dismantling the featherweight contender ranks. But his methodical, wrestling-heavy style — and his inability to finish a single UFC opponent — has hardly endeared him to a promotion that increasingly values excitement over winning.
Ironically, it was Volkanovski himself who ultimately helped break the logjam, publicly pushing for the UFC to give Evloev the opportunity he'd spent years earning.
Ahhh, fist-fights and that fresh cup of Saturday morning coffee — is there anything better?
That's right, it's an early one today! UFC 333 kicks off at the top of the hour, 10 a.m. ET (7 a.m. best coast), LIVE from Abu Dhabi, with a stacked card topped by two tremendous title fights: Alexander Volkanovski vs. Movsar Evloev for Volk's featherweight strap, and Petr Yan vs. Merab Dvalishvili 3 for all the marbles at 135 pounds.
It should be one hell of a day. Lock in with us and let Uncrowned be your guide to UFC 333.
