Over 25 years before the original Bring It On hit theaters, Gabrielle Union teased that a follow-up may be in the works. The original film starred Union and Kirsten Dunst as the heads of rival cheerleading teams as they prepare for the national championships. Bring It On wasn't a massive box office hit upon its theatrical release in August 2000, taking in $90.4 million from an $11 million budget, but gained an enduring fan base.
