(Tuscan food, if you were wondering.) The couple have been enjoying their new life as newlyweds in the city, recently even hitting up a Yankees game together, but opted for a quieter night out last night—complete with exceptional outfits, of course.
Don’t think of their couple style as coordinated or matchy-matchy: Both Lipa and Turner opted for their own distinct fashion vibes. Turner, for one, donned a utility workwear coat with a quarter-zip sweater, black jeans, and hiker-style boots. Lipa, meanwhile, went more glam—in a velvety structured blazer and dark-wash jeans. But it was her statement shoes that caught our eye.
Photo: Backgrid Instead of a classic pump or dainty strappy heel, Lipa went wild—literally—with a zebra-print pump. The shoes, by Christian Louboutin—red soles and all—added the perfect amount of zing to the whole outfit. . . You could even say they added a pep to her step.
Of course, animal prints have always ebbed in and out of fashion—one minute leopard is hot, the next it’s all about snakeskin. But Lipa is right on trend with zebra for fall: It so happens to be a hot pattern of the season, seen on both the runways and street style scene alike. And her styling of it, via a well-placed accessory, is the best way to embrace it: It adds personality to the look without going full-on over-the-top. And the good news is, you don’t need to shell out on Louboutins to do it either: There are many affordable versions out on the market. Though a little flash of a red sole is always a fashion flex.
